frostfire_17 wrote Ahras Huitwalassis, a male/male romance set in the Hittite empire around 1270 BCE, a few years after the Battle of Qadesh. You know how enthusiastic about the Minoans I am? She's more enthusiastic about the Hittites, and far more erudite, and her characters absolutely live and breathe, at once integrated into their setting and completely relatable.

Have I mentioned recently how much richer my life is, just for having you on my flist? Thank you for the resources. I love the What Do You Need post - just reading through it and seeing folks being brave with their requests, and other folks being generous just cuz they can, like it's *nothing* to help out another person, has helped restore my faith in humans just a little bit. And I can't wait to read the story you posted! how neat!
