When I was a little girl I adored figure skating. I knew better than to ever ask to try -- I've done the Rockefeller Center fall-down-on-the-ice-before-the-giant-statue thing, and that was sufficient. But I loved watching it.
Hanging out with
eustaciavye got me back into skating in a big way. And I was about to write a whole thing about skating, and fangirling Johnny Weir, and fangirling Stephane Lambiel, and loving pairs skating in part because throw jumps are so dramatic, and whatever. But the moment is lost to toilet training adventures, so have a link and an embedded video (if I did the latter right) while I go wash my feet off.

2) What would I use for characterization resources for Stephane Lambiel? Everything I know about him is physical, i.e., how he presents himself on the ice. If I could draw better I might draw fanart, but I don't have enough for reasonable fanfic writing.
3) This is all me working to talk myself *out* of doing so, just so you know.

I would look ridiculous and end up bruised, but I totally appreciate the offer. :) *huggles you back*

BTW I don't suppose you taped the exhibition? Never got to watch it b/c of Purim stuff...
