When both Washington and New York bought the "freedom to marry opposite sex" argument, I was more than a little upset.

The New York dissent would have been a most excellent smackdown opinion if it had had one more vote. The majority opinion was just baffling in a "Wait, I pay your salary?" kind of way. The state has a vested interest in enshrining procreation and same-sex marriage would compromise that? A moron says what?
