Two Food Thoughts, on the Local Side

After having seen several instances of the Omnivore's 100, I find myself feeling I should do more to help my friends up their scores if they'd like. So I may put candied flowers on this year's fruitcakes, and I hereby offer to come over and cook oxtail or curried goat for anyone in the Greater Boston Metro Area with whom I'd have dinner anyway. :)

Speaking of things I want to cook at my friends' houses... I want to make another batch of Bacon Wrapped Bacon, take it to work and store it in the freezer, and supplement lunchtime salads with two or three mouthfuls of porky goodness apiece. Alas, I would make WD very unhappy if I cooked this at his house, for reasons which are his to relate if he chooses. I probably wouldn't get around to this project until September, but would anyone like to have me come over and cook a double batch of this, one batch for you and one batch for me? It'll take a few hours, but at the end we'd each have about two dozen chunks of bacony happiness.

B and I tried to take that course together back when I also worked at BU, and things were just too crazy at the workplace to give us energy to do so. Maybe now that the workplace is sane-ish...

*is nostalgic*

That was a fun class, but as TL pointed out, I couldn't really give it the attention it deserved.
