I was about to say, "it's just slang" but then I remembered whom I was talking to. :)

'Eit' and 'Pock' are bits of slang I picked up from hanging out with geeky computer programming types. 'Pock' is 'the sound it makes when the Universe gives you a free pinball'. I don't know about 'Eit'.
