I apologize for sort of popping in like this - first, this is a very interesting discussion (and also being female I'm both boggled by the quoted sentiment and a bit unqualified to answer your question), but I did a massive double-take at your icon as I started to click away. Seshat! What a wonderful icon! For whatever reason that really made me smile.

I'm also over on Girl-Wonder. The discussions have been incredibly interesting, but sometimes disheartening on one end. (Especially the very early Girls Read Comics! (And They're Pissed) responses. Eegh.)
