I think it's because you can't be indifferent to him and he makes her feel so many things.

The nice thing about stories, as flwrpwr_vampyre points out downthread, is that one can experience things without having to experience them. There's a thrill to terror, which is why I write these stories, but I certainly prefer it in fiction! *beams at you* I'm really glad you like this, and grateful you told me. :)
