I really, absolutely adore the one where Character A realizes that one of the most wonderful things about Character B and PossiblyCharacter C is that they can take whatever s/he can dish out - no matter how much s/he struggles, they'll still be holding her. That her passion/needs/fears won't break them or scare them. That s/he doesn't have to be afraid to let go, with them.
