Star Trek XI Fandom: Two Found, Two Wanted

Two of the many nifty things I've found in Star Trek fandom:

where_no_woman. It should be pretty obvious what the focus of this comm is. I have a lot of catching up reading to do there, but I'm really glad to have found them. Right now I'm writing frivolous slash, because sometimes I'm shallow like that, but when I start thinking about the shapes of the universe and the places of women in it, I know where to go.

pike_2009. For Admiral Christopher Pike, formerly Captain of the U.S.S. Enterprise. Because he's a BAMF and utterly hot. Features many stories extrapolating his Number One into the reboot universe, which, while I haven't caught up on most of those stories yet (there's a theme here, yeah, maybe more than one) I approve of as a practice. Also features Pike/Kirk, which is a really incandescent pairing.

And now, a brief note on things I might like. I'm deliberating getting a Pike, Uhura, or Gaila icon, but there are so many icon posts I'm kind of drowning. I would appreciate recs to particular icon posts or icon makers: my tastes in icons runs to still, usually image alone but brief text can be nice.

Also, I want one particular image from the movie. I want the Enterprise over Titan in front of Saturn. I want to rasterize it and put it on my bedroom ceiling. No, not really, but I actually would love to use it as a desktop. I've rummaged a couple of screencap sites but haven't found it yet; full screencaps are probably not out yet. But while I was at it, I thought I'd write this desire down.
