The Command Me! Meme

Which I saw over at [livejournal.com profile] petronelle's and could not resist:

If you had me under your command and could make me write anything, regardless of whether or not I know the fandom or if anybody even writes fiction in that fandom and no matter how crack-addled it might be, what would you love to see me write?

Oh. What a choice. Wow.

I love your hobbits--they are so marvelously true to themselves.

But, oh for a chance to see some fic in Randall Garrett's Lord D'arcy series. I've craved it for ages and have never been able to find *any*!

*blush* Thank you, a lot!

I will remember this, if I ever do read the Lord D'arcy series. :)

Well, there were three books in the original Randall Garrett series, and then Michael Kurland was approved by his estate to write two more. But I think it just cries out for fanfic, and I don't know why it doesn't seem to have attracted any.

It's an AU, in which Richard the Lion-heart was not killed at the Seige of Crecy, and went on to found a still-enduring English Empire. Alongside that was the development of magic instead of science. Lord D'arcy is a King's Investigator, and he has a "Dr.Watson" in Father Sean, who is his "Forensic sorceror".
