Drink Up That River

I read two things today that made me very happy, and just as I was considering my post about them, "Drink Up The River" came on my work-music-mix, and it was just so thematically appropriate it seemed a sign. Both Vermont's unbanning of same-sex marriage (over the governor's attempted veto, no less) and The Tightly Curly Hair Site (thank you, ysabetwordsmith!) represent, at different scales, the calm insistence of people who have been told to suppress who we are that we are just fine as we are and will live to our fullest potential rather than pretend to be otherwise.

Or maybe I'm just off the wall. But that's what occured to me. :)
