Today is Veteran's Day, aka Remembrance Day

(If I recall correctly.)

I was trying to think of something profound to say, but really, what else can I say but thank you, to all those who have served honorably in the armed forces? *waves to the veterans on my friendslist* I have never been in favor of the Iraq War, but my reasons have never included opposition to those who have to fight it.

Hey! I just bumped into you in klwalton's journal! Roughly how many is a lot? I'm just curious. I've mostly refrained from asking active military members whether or not they think it's a good idea to be fighting in Iraq. I get little glimpses here and there via blogs. Seems to be just like the civilians...some are for the war and others against.

Thank you for your service.

Yeah, that's a fair estimate. There may be a few more military folk who were for it initially, but it was not an overwhelming majority. The particular concern was with a post-war insurgency, just as happened. Everybody was pretty sure we could defeat the Iraqi armed forces quickly.
