Oyin Handmade Hair Care!

So, [livejournal.com profile] lyonesse posted about the glories of Oyin Handmade Hair & Body Care Products and as I pay attention to what she says about hair products (my hair has a few similarities to hers, although it's not nearly so magnificent, and she is very very smart in general) I did.

I LOVE THIS STUFF.

Whipped Shea Butter that doesn't catch in greasy clumps! Conditioner that makes my hair feel silky! And the Whipped Pudding! A cream that can go on hair and skin, so running my hands through my hair (which I do a lot, to fluff it up and keep it from forming a giant dreadlock) lotions my hands as well! And it smells like cocoa butter!

I want to buy $200 worth of their stuff and store it in a freezer.

That would be impractical, so instead I'll just post to thank Lyonesse for recommending them to me, and to recommend them to, well, just about everyone. They have many more products I haven't even tried yet (solid shampoos, bath oils and fizzes, body creams and butters, etc) and also sample packs, and their website is clear, easy to read, and full of useful tips.

I should have cut my hair years before I did, and promptly started using Oyin's products.

Yay for good hair products!

I had a stupid haircare experience tonight: I was about to open the new bottle of conditioner I'd bought, which I'd thought was based on coconut milk, then I looked at it again and it turned out to be coconut *and* milk! Not vegan ohnoez! And yeah, it'd be better to use it up so it's not wasted, but I really can't. Fortunately, I had a tiny bit of special leave-in conditioner left, so I used that.

Oh, ack, I'm sorry the conditioner sprang unexpected animal products on you. Can you take it back to the shop?
